Ashley was a small town girl who moved to the city in the hopes of bringing change by working with a new nonprofit. After her journey took a few surprising turns, she set out to cultivate a community and found herself exploring new pockets of Chicago alone.

Never a stranger to adventure, Ashley decided to share her findings, birthing Safe Haven in The City. Combining her love for Chicago and giving back, she shares her passion of great food, beautiful atmospheres, and the amazing communities rising together to make the Chicago area the city we all love so much.

You can find her smiling and sipping coffee from her favorite local coffee house, Dark Matter, enjoying some quality comedy at Annoyance Theater, or biking along lake shore and soaking up the sun at her favorite beach: South Shore Cultural Beach.
